THE SPACE

The private guest suite is built into the main ground level of our home. Overlooking a lovely backyard & view onto the Silver Lake Reservoir. The guest suite has a private entrance. Totally private, but there are shared walls & a floor above. Inside you will find a compact (but adequate) kitchenette and a table for 4. The bedroom is separated by a large wooden sliding door from the principal/kitchenette area. The bedroom features a queen-sized bed and a fantastic half-circle day bed in a wrap-around bay window. The bathroom is finished in Moroccan limestone and features a large shower enclosed in glass. (Note there is not a tub). The Heat and AC are controlled by a Nest thermostat.

NOTE: Upstairs tenants are a family with young children. Ideal guests are well suited to hear family noise & not be disturbed.

NEIGHBORHOOD

Arts and Outdoors on the East Side of LA 

Located in the heart of Silver Lake just above the reservoir, you are within minutes of great shops and delicious local eateries and a short drive to downtown Los Angeles, Echo Park, and Hollywood. Eclectic, unique, and fast becoming the hippest part of LA, the area is filled with vibrant culture. This house affords a great spot and jumping-off point for such iconic sites as Griffith Park and the Observatory, The Greek Theater, Sunset Blvd, and all of the unique hot spots and recreation in and around LA. From the sprawling city limits and the coast to the mountains and beyond, it’s a great central location to explore this vast metropolis. Quick walking access to the walking/jogging path, Silver Lake Recreation Center playground, or for a cup of coffee/bite to eat. Botanica, L&E Oyster Bar, Lamill Coffee. A short drive to the Sunset Junction, La Colombe, Intelligensia, Cafe Stella, Sawyer, Mohawk,  Sqrl & the Silver Lake Farmers Market (Tues afternoon & Sat morning).

TRANSIT

There is a good amount of street parking please do not park in the driveway as you may block cars from entering or exiting the garage. We suggest taking Lyft or Uber to get around locally. But if you plan to travel across the city often during your stay then a rental car may be best.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

There is a 45’ walk down an inclined driveway to access the entrance to the Airbnb.

The two young children in the house can be loud at times (as children naturally are), but the family is mindful of guests & their well-being. All linens & hard surfaces are sanitized. ALL GREEN & ORGANIC non-toxic cleaning products and toiletries.

Sleeps 2 in a queen bed + pack & play for littles. One bedroom guest suite built into the 1st floor of our home.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests have access to the entire guest suite. They can access via the driveway on the left side when facing the house. They have access to the paved area of the driveway and in front of the guest suite entrance. All other areas are off-limits.
