THE SPACE

Originally built in the 1930s, this single-family home has style, comfort, and beautiful views of the Silver Lake Reservoir and the San Bernardino Mountains, all while being centrally located to everything the Los Angeles area has to offer. The Hummingbird has three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and can accommodate up to four people. In the en suite master, you’ll find a queen bed and the two other bedrooms have single beds, with a Jack and Jill bathroom in the middle. Worthy of a home design editorial, the dwelling has a large living room and family room, two wood-burning fireplaces a gas firepit and a fully-equipped chef’s kitchen with a five-burner cooktop, dual convection oven and steam oven, dishwasher, large refrigerator, and all of the tools needed to make wonderful meals out of California's famous produce.

The designer details make this family-friendly location a great place to relax, take in the views, and enjoy your home away from home.

NEIGHBORHOOD

Arts and Outdoors on the East Side of LA 

Located in the heart of Silver Lake just above the reservoir, you are within minutes of great shops and delicious local eateries and a short drive to downtown Los Angeles, Echo Park, and Hollywood. Eclectic, unique, and fast becoming the hippest part of LA, the area is filled with vibrant culture. This house affords a great spot and jumping-off point for such iconic sites as Griffith Park and the Observatory, The Greek Theater, Sunset Blvd, and all of the unique hot spots and recreation in and around LA. From the sprawling city limits and the coast to the mountains and beyond, it’s a great central location to explore this vast metropolis. Quick walking access to the walking/jogging path, Silver Lake Recreation Center playground, or for a cup of coffee/bite to eat. Botanica, L&E Oyster Bar, Lamill Coffee. A short drive to the Sunset Junction, La Colombe, Intelligensia, Cafe Stella, Sawyer, Mohawk, Sqrl & the Silver Lake Farmers Market (Tues afternoon & Sat morn).

TRANSIT

There is a good amount of street parking please do not park in the driveway as you may block cars from entering or exiting the garage. We suggest taking Lyft or Uber to get around locally. But if you plan to travel across the city often during your stay then a rental car may be best.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

All linens & hard surfaces are sanitized. ALL GREEN & ORGANIC non-toxic cleaning products and toiletries.

There is a guest suite that is occupied by guests from time to time. Please be mindful of guests & do your best to minimize noise disturbances. They are informed to respect your privacy and mind their volume too.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests have access to the entire home, but the guest suite is off-limits. They can access the house via the front gate that leads to the front door. They have access to the grass area in the front, side, and back of the guest suite entrance. All other areas are off-limits.
